Introduction

By accessing this website providing services offered by Arnaud Jullien, also known as Chef Arno Jullien, French Private Chef (referred to as Chef, I, me, or my) in the operation of private chef home cooking services (French Private Chef Services), you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained in these Terms and Conditions of Use (Terms of Service, or Terms).

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and me, and supersedes all prior agreements relating to the Site and French Private Chef Services.

Your use of this site signifies that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract and accept these terms. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this website. Your only remedy for dissatisfaction with this site or services is to stop using them.

Orders and Payment

Any additional fees generated by this website, including but not limited to payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, or any other applicable charges, shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

1. Orders and Booking Fees

1.1. Through this website, you can schedule or book French Private Chef Services. Orders placed on the website are fulfilled using a payment processing service. Payment responsibility and order fulfillment are handled as set forth in these Terms.

1.2. You agree to provide a credit or debit card and authorize me or my bank to charge your card to collect the agreed-upon fee (booking fees) plus tax.

1.3. Booking fees representing the total sum indicated in a quote or estimate must be received in full prior to your receiving the French Private Chef Services, unless otherwise agreed in advance. I reserve the right to refuse any order.

1.4. I may need to verify the information you provide before accepting an order and may cancel or limit an order any time after it has been placed. If payment has already been made and your order is cancelled, I will refund you any payment made for services that will not be delivered.

1.5. Invoice payment is due in full at the time of booking.

2. Booking, Cancellation, and Menu Planning

2.1. You may cancel your order before receiving the French Private Chef Services, with eligibility for refund dependent on timing:

  • 70% refundable if cancelled more than 7 days before the event.

  • 50% refundable if cancelled between 7 days and 2 days prior to the event.

  • No refund will be processed if cancelled within 48 hours before the event date.

Bookings may be rescheduled up to 72 hours prior to the event date in case of emergency. Ingredients and dishes are subject to change according to availability, without notice. Public classes and gift certificates are non-refundable and transferable to others. Promotions and discounts are subject to change and can be cancelled or modified without notice. The acceptance of a quote or online payment for a service provided by Chef Arno Jullien indicates you agree to the present terms and conditions.

This cancellation policy may not affect any statutory rights you may have under California law.

2.2. I will propose your custom-curated menu based on dietary or allergy information you provide. Such proposals are to be confirmed at least seventy-two hours prior to the date of your French Private Chef Services; failure to confirm will be considered a cancellation. All agreed-upon menu items are subject to change due to ingredient availability, quality, or other factors.

2.3. I will make every effort to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions. However, you need to be aware of your allergies. I will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to food consumed.

Your Rights and Responsibilities

3. Regulations and Rules on French Private Chef Services

3.1. You contract for the French Private Chef Services directly with me. I assume responsibility for the French Private Chef Services and/or food provided to you.

3.2. By booking my services, you acknowledge and agree to provide me and any potential staff under my supervision full access to a safe and clean kitchen area equipped with every necessary appliance to conduct and deliver our work in safe conditions. You also agree that any additional cleaning fees or day rates due to an unsuitable kitchen will be assessed at my discretion and will be communicated to you before proceeding or after the event has taken place if such information was not made available to me at the time of your booking.

3.3. I will leave your kitchen as clean as I found it and put away all leftover food or groceries.

Chef's Rights and Responsibilities

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

Your use of the site and services is at your sole risk. The site and services are provided on an “as-is’ and “as available” basis. I expressly disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

5. Limitation of Liability

You expressly understand and agree that I will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental special, consequential, exemplary damages, or damages for loss of profits. in no event will my total liability to you for all damages, losses, or causes of action exceed the booking fees you have paid.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Miscellaneous Terms

6. Governing Law

By accessing this Site, both you and I agree that the statutes and laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of laws principles, will apply to all matters relating to the use of this Site and services. In the case of a dispute, you and I agree any litigation arising between the parties shall be brought only in the courts in the State of California. You hereby waive any objection to venue with respect to any such action or proceeding.

7. Termination

I may, in my sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Site with or without notice for any reason, including breach of these Terms of Service. Upon termination or suspension, your right to use this website immediately ceases.
